It is the 27th Festival edition! Year by year, we are developing and reaching more and more film fans. Undoubtedly, Ale Kino! is the largest and most important film event for young audiences in Poland. It is obvious for those who used to attend it with their parents and who now want to instill the passion for film in their own children. This year we are celebrating a special anniversary: 40 years of the Festival, running since 1969. At first held every two years and focused mostly on Polish productions, the Festival became an annual and international event in mid-1990s. The Festival’s 40th anniversary is not only an occasion to share the joy of participating in the international film world, but also to look into the future and try to find out what kind of children’s and young people’s films are expected by young audiences, parents and teachers; what kind of cinema do children and film artists dream of.
This year’s Festival will feature over 90 screenings. More than 130 films from all parts of the world will be shown. Some of them will have their Polish premieres at the Festival.
