Take care of you registration before 5th of August 2009, if you are attending GA and you are willing to get free accommodation during GA.

If you have not paid you membership fee, you are still very welcome to join to our group to observe what is happening in the children’s film and media educational field. Unfortunately, Fubon is not able to take care of your accommodation in Taipei, but they will give you some options to find a hotel to stay. However, you need to fill the registration form before the deadline: 5th of August2009.
If you are a legal member (membership paid up to 2008), but you don’t fill the registration form 5th of August, you might have to arrange your stay in Taipei by yourself. Of course, Fubon will do its best to help you. But the easiest is that you do things on time and first of all do your registration.
After you send the registration form, you will get the invitation letter from Fubon.
5. Travelling to Taipei
GA is taking place in Taipei between 20. – 24.9.2009
Check first if you need a visa to travel to Taiwan or not. You can find this information on the Fubon’s web page http://www.fubonedu.org.tw/international/CIFEJ_GA.htm.

Fubon Cultural & Educational Foundation is our host. They will offer accommodation - 4 hotel nights and local transportation to all the legal members of CIFEJ during the GA.
If you are willing to stay longer (or arrive earlier) in Taiwan, Fubon is trying to get the cheaper rate for you to stay in the same hotel. More details on this will be informed later.

7. Accommodation & Transportation during the CIFEJ GA
The host, Fubon Cultural and Educational Foundation (FCEF), is pleased to provide the courtesy 4-night accommodations at the Caesar Park Hotel Taipei and airport transfer bus for our GA guests.
Caesar Park Taipei is ideally located in the center of Taipei's business district. Directly across from Taipei main station, the heart of the city's MRT system, it is within walking distance from the Presidential Palace, Botanical Gardens and Chiang Kai -Shek Memorial Hall.
CIFEJ GA will also be held in the Caesar Park Hotel.

8. CIFEJ membership fee
New news concerning the CIFEJ membership fees:
Regarding the 2009 membership fees, it has been agreed to send the invoices after the GA because of the financial situation. In 2007 the increase of the fees was not well balanced, because of the differences of dollars and euros.
Modifications to the membership fees can only be made by a vote from the members at a GA. So we wait after the GA to announce the modifications of the fees (if it is confirmed by a vote at the GA).
In the case of new members, they should pay the same amount as in 2008 in order to be able to vote at the GA, and if the fees are modified, then CIFEJ will have just a few adjustments to make.
In order for the older members to have the right to vote and to receive the provided hospitality by FUBON it is necessary to have paid the subscription for 2008.
9. Proxies
Deadline 30.8.2009
If you are unable to participate in the GA, we need your proxies for all of the different votings. You can find the proxy form on CIFEJ web page: www.cifej.com
Please use that.
Remember that only legal members of CIFEJ have a right to send proxies. Make sure that you membership fee is paid.
CIFEJ will not accept proxies sent after 30th of August.
First:
Inform and send a copy of your proxy/ proxies via
e-mail to Maikki Kantola maikki@videotivoli.fi before 30th of August.
Remember this !!!
Proxies given just during the GA are not accepted without advanced intimation.
Second:
Send the signed original proxy to the proxy holder attending GA.
Make sure that it will be received by the person in charge on time.

- Proxies - if you are unable to attend GA, we need your proxies for all of the different
votings (deadline 30.8.2009)

11. CIFEJ is looking for the 2011 GA venue / location
If you are willing to host the next General Assembly in 2011 in your country, please send a proposal to us, not after 15th of July 2009.
Send a plan comprising the town and country, organiser and a realistic suggestion of how to set up the event.
What we need to get
- 1 page suggestion
- Why this organization/ country /city is the best place for next GA
- What this place must be offered for next GA
- Some financial background – does the organization have realistically the possibility
to organize GA?
- Name and contacts names of the organization, contact details
12. Future CIFEJ Board meetings
If you would like to invite the new CIFEJ board to hold a meeting in your country / in connection of an event of yours, please send a suggestion covering the time, place and everything that you can offer the new board concerning the meeting
The First board meeting will be held in Taipei on 24th of September. After that, the board will have several meetings during the next two years. If you are interested and willing to host some of these meetings, please send us a proposal for it.
We need a place and a date and who can support a board meeting by hosting it.
And please add the following information, if you can offer these to the board members:
- can you support the flight tickets?
- can you offer the accommodation?
- can you offer the local transportation?
- can you offer some events, like ________?
- something else, what _________________

We are waiting to get new proposals for new activities. Please if you have new ideas, plans – something which already exist or you are willing to make it real- send us a proposal of a length not more than A4.
You will have an opportunity to present those at an open floor event at the GA.
- Have you brought off a successful project? Share it with us
- Would you like to realise a project with CIFEJ or its members? Tell about your idea,
including the budget
- Are there any new work methods that you would like to tell about and share their fruits
with other members?
- Do you need help in organising media education – or producing and marketing films,
finding different employees, actors etc. in other countries?
- What else do you expect from CIFEJ – write down your hopes and suggestions.
What we need you to send:
- Logo of the organization
- Picture (if existing)
- 1 page of Text: summary of the project
- Importance of the project – why it’s necessary to make this real / or to be continued
- What will be the benefits of CIFEJ
Written proposals will be reflected in CIFEJ GA catalogue, CIFEJ web site and GA virtual news. Deadline is 15th of July
Open floor
We invite all of the CIFEJ members to give a presentation or give a proposal of projects during the GA on Tuesday 22nd of September 2009. This is the open platform to new plans and ideas.
All of the CIFEJ members, observers and guests have a chance to promote their projects by giving a short speech (2–10 minutes) or/ and share different kinds of printed materials.
For presentations during the GA: Don’t use the Internet screenings.
It’s better to have all the material on DVD or on a memory stick.
Also if you :
- are looking for a producer for your children film / project
- are willing to find some new films to produce
- need some partners, network, workers, film crew
- want to share some experiences about children films, festivals, workshops, media
education
- have new projects
- have new ideas
If you have some great experiences, proposals, etc you want to share with all of the GA participants, send those in written in power point format before 15th of July to Maikki Kantola maikki@videotivoli.fi .
You can also send pictures.
We are glad to share these with all the members also in the GA virtual news.
