The Doha Film Institute’s first Ajyal Youth Film Festival was held from November 26th to 30th, 2013 in Doha, Qatar. At the end of the festival, a number of films won cash prizes handed out by hundreds of jurors aged 8 to 21 who were categorized in 3 groups (Mohaq, Hilal and Badr).

The inaugural two-day Ajyal Industry Forum (Nov. 27th-28th, 2013), themed “ Our Children First!”,,,,,,,,,,,,, ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, discussed aspects ranging from the value of local content to policy making and film marketing, and presented diverse perspectives of filmmakers from around the world. Participants at the panel discussions underlined the need to narrate stories for children from their perspective and to promote localized content.

Some of CIFEJ members including Mrs.Firdoze Bulbulia (the President of CIFEJ), Mr.Mohsen Chiniforoushan (the Secretary General of CIFEJ) and some other members, took part in this Forum as presenters and delegates.
