CIFEJ and the Children and Young Adults Professional Group of Sarvenaz Institue hold an event in Shiraz named “A Day with Manjunathan”. Manjunathan is a young talented Indian director from Chennai. As he has said, he is interested in the field of children cinema because the children are so vulnerable to the crimes that happen in the society and they can be exploited easily.
During this event, 3 of his films were screened for the children and then there were discussions about the films, the children cinema in India and also about Satyajit Ray, the Great Indian director, under the guidance of Ms. Mahgan Farhang, the director of the Professional Group and the CIFEJ member. She also talked about Manjunathan and read his message for the children. The children enjoyed the movies and believed that Manjunathan has talked about children problems beautifully and effectively.
