The 7th MICE (Mosta Internacional Cinema Educatiu) Festival, 7th to 23rd of February 2019

The 7th MICE Film Festival which was organized by “Jordi El Mussol Association”, was held in Valencia, Spain from 7 to 23 of Feb. 2019. MICE is directed by Mr. Josep Arbiol who is the member of the Board of CIFEJ and the president of Jordi El Mussol Association. This is a festival with an educational purpose that promotes audiovisual education and cinema beyond the globalized industrial consumerism. MICE is the big screen for films made by students —writing images, and for quality professional cinematography —reading images. This Festival has tried to cover most of the cities and small towns in Valencia province, so thousands of children have found the opportunity of taking part in this beautiful event and watch films.
MICE is directed to:
Students from Primary School to University. All stages professors Cinema and media professionals from all over the world Parents General public  
MICE contents:
 
COMPETITIVE SECTION
Professional international cinema dedicated to the youngest International audiovisual content performed in educational centers or areas State  audiovisual content in any official language held in educational centers or areas Audiovisual made in the Valencian region —in Valencian language  
INFORMATIVE SECTION
Feature films, short films and audiovisuals outside the competitive section  
Specific MICE sections:
Inclusive MICE for disabled children MICE University for valuing the work carried out by the students of the Valencian universities   MICE Children for putting them in contact with the world of the image MICE Hospitalaria for the children who have to be in hospitals MICE Rural for the children who live in rural areas and are very often deprived of enjoying cultural and/or educational events, due to their depleted population.  
This year CIFEJ attended at MICE by holding CIFEJ Days including:
CIFEJ Animation Workshop which was trained by Amir Alimorad and Crystal Koohestani CIFEJ meeting with the UNESCO Ambassador in Spain in the beautiful town of Biar Screening of CIFEJ winner films Wallai (from Burkina Faso) and The end of Dreams (from Iran) During the CIFEJ Days, some of Spanish young boys and girls took part in the workshop and made a very beautiful animation which can be watched in AnimationCKC website of CIFEJ (www.animationckc.com)
This great Festival was finished in the evening of the 23rd of February by announcing the winners and awarding 59 prizes in different categories.
