SIFFCY'2019
The 5th edition of Smile International Film Festival for Children and Youth (SIFFCY) is scheduled from 09 to 15 December 2019 at the Siri Fort Auditorium in New Delhi, India.
The main objective of SIFFCY has been to engage, entertain, educate & empower young minds through meaningful films and film related activities. And this unique celebration of good cinema has been growing with each passing year in terms of entries and presence of global fraternity from the space of cinema and films.
GOOD CINEMA FROM ACROSS THE GLOBE This year more than 150 critically acclaimed films from over 50 countries are lined-up for screening during the weeklong festival and more than 30,000 spectators are expected to participate in these seven days.
KEY ACTIVITIES THIS YEAR Various capacity building workshops and interactive panels/master classes are also scheduled during these seven days.
1.Mission 4EG: (Engage, Entertain, Educate & Empower young minds through Good Cinema) An interactive session on digital content and young minds,   
 
2. The Green Panel:An intensive discussion on Climate Change, Environment & Role of cinema on bringing the change among youth.
 
3. The World is not enough: Children Cinema & the global Opportunities.

4. Swedish Pick 'N' Mix
Focusing on Sweden cinema. Partner: BUFF Malmo, Sweden
 
5. PRAGUE to PILSEN :Celebrating best of Czech cinema , food & culture.
Partners: Czech Embassy in New Delhi, JuniorFest Czech Republic.
Special screening of the czech classic: JOURNEY TO THE BEGINNING OF TIME
 
6.Emotional Literacy: An interactive workshop on Life Skill Development by Parenting 2.0, USA
 
7. The Good Road
A special workshop on Road Safety & role of cinema in sensitizing the youth.
 
8.CIFEJ Days: A Film Making Workshop by renowned Iranian film maker Rasoul Sadrameli.
 
9. CAMERA IN MY MIND : Photography & Cinematography workshop by Indian Institute of Photography (IIP)
 
10. THE WORLD IS YOUR STAGE :Special Theatre workshop
 
11. Set the SET : Art design workshop
 
12. SOUND SLEEP : A sound design workshop .
 
AWARDS & RECOGNITIONS Apart from 15 different awards in various categories, SIFFCY is going to host the prestigious European Children’s Film Association Award (ECFA) for the second year. Also this year, SIFFCY is going to introduce the one of its kind CIFEJ Award & FCCI - Film Critics Circle of India Award.
