he history of media violence research has been full of controversy. Is the jury still out, or have we been ignoring evidence of damaging mental and physical impacts of scary and violent media on children and young people? Is it time to act? Can our regulatory/ classification systems become more effective in protecting children and in supporting parents?
Leading researchers will review the research evidence in these fields, the present structure of classification and ratings systems, and discuss recommendations for change.
